One important part about your video it is the background music.
Probably will be just a second or two but you will need some music to make it easer to view.
If you are in a tide or no budget at all other that your time you will be looking for “free music” thats this post about…
The missunderstanding about what it is Royalty Free can lead you to search for the wrong music. Royalty-free standards do not include any “per-port” or “per-volume” charges but dosn’t mean free.
A good way to find music with out paying it is to search for Crative Commons that allows you to legally use “some rights reserved” music, movies, images, and other content.
There are different tipes of licences you need to find music that it is not under a “No Derivative Works Licence” because you want to make changes (derivatives) you will put it in your video don’t you? So to play safe you need to be sure that it dosn’t say NonCommercial or NoDerivs.
Even if you wan’t use the song to make money directly if you put the music in a video in a website someone can think you are using it commercialy.
So look for something like this:
Attribution CC BY
Attribution-ShareAlike CC BY-SA
Remember to credit the music in your video and be nice with the owner and show him where you are using the music. This will give you also some argument in case the music was added to the site by some other person with out legal rights over the content.
Some sites where you can find creative commons music:
- Free Music Archive
- CASH Music
- Podsafe Audio
- Internet Archive’s Netlabels Collection
- Sound Cloud
Important Note: I am not a copiright layer so if you doubt about it search for legal help or if you are in the uk have a look to http://www.ipo.gov.uk/types/copy.htm they have lot of info about it.
